Magazine Layout Development 16 & Magazine Structure/Narrative

Pages 3rd July by DanielleMuntyan on Scribd

Above shows the latest edition of the magazine which has been structured as below. To gain a narrative and to tell a story, leading up to view points and how the issues talked about are being handled/targeted in a positive way, thumbnails were printed out and re-arranged into the following groups (social media, cross-culture, bloggers and vloggers, a bit of perspective), leading in with the key messages followed by positive brand/individual perspectives, and being further separated with anonymous participant/academic and/or theoretical quotes to give additional context. This was suggested by Nadine LeBlond during a crit, after stating that this would give the reader a better experience and allow for additional structure/context throughout.

By putting the articles and features into these 4 groups, this allowed for fashion and beauty to be separated within specific categories, whilst also allowing for niche groups which can be found via the contents page if a reader is only interested in social media, or bloggers/vloggers, for example.

Following re-structuring, once finalised, page numbers were given which can also be seen below.
